Never eat McDonald's food! I worked at a car dealership and we had a car come in on repo. The car sat in the backlot for over six months all through summer. We weren't allowed to do anything with it till the legal status was cleared up. Well during that time an entire bag of half eaten McDonald's and other food items were in the back floorboard. When we finally got to cleaning and maintenance for resale, the only thing that wasn't coated in mold was the McDonald's food. If bacteria and mold won't eat it neither should you.

I love when you tell all about the chemicals involved and then immediately show the old-timey happy/innocent commercials from back then... we're really just one big experiment every way around huh.

McDonalds should.go back to frying in beef tallow and use plain salt. That would take their fries to the next level. I'd eat them.

Are you guys planning on doing a video on seed oils?

Just imagine. If they actually cooked beef burgers, they could have an endless supply of fresh tallow for fryers. It's almost nonsense that they opted for chemical sludge when they could have practically had their own self sustained restaurant ecosystem. The modern marketing on that angle alone would net a restaurant impeccable PR.

Considering the cost of fast food is too high for people now, it wont matter how cheap the ingredients are anymore. It's cheaper to make your own food. And a lot of it can be done fast.

I don't understand the love for McDonalds, I never found them to be anything more than average. I don't eat much fast food these days, but if I do, McDonalds is my last resort choice if nothing else is around.

It's not just McDonald's frech fries. Some other processed foods from the US are banned by other countries for containing carcinogens.

The number of people I have come across who willingly disregard this information surprises me

Mcdonald's fries are only addictive to the younger generations... if you remember real Mcdonald's fries from before 1990, then you can easily resist them now... they have tasted terrible for over 30 years now compared to how they used to taste

As a fat person who likes unhealthy food, I haven't eaten at Mc's for 7-8 years. I noticed that if I wasn't feeling well and I ate there... suddenly I felt better for a few hours. Years have passed, it's 2024 - I saw the prices in Mc :D it's cheaper to eat dinner in a restaurant, and in the meantime I started cooking myself - and for the price of a set with Mc... I have food for a week, consisting mainly of meat. :D

“No one craves Arby’s curly fries.”
Me: oh I beg to differ, but if you disagree that’s more for me! 😂

Another important note about beef tallow, it is a much more stable fat under high and continuous heat than seed oils. I worked in the food industry for 4 years and operated the deep fryers. The coagulated goop we would have to scrape from the inside of the fryers what insane. Now we know that the substance was polymerized oil that was created from the chemical reaction and breakdown of canola oil under immense heat and pressure over a long period of time. Any time you eat something made from a deep fryer, you’re essentially eating fatty plastic that your body has no way to synthesize

Haven't eaten at McDonald's in over 15 years. Don't miss it at all.

Why do people say they're "SO GOOD" "SO ADDICTIVE" they're not that good, empty inside, and when they're cooling down the taste just gets worse and worse.

Stopped eating BS a few years ago, feel amazing. Mostly Paleo, Keto and generally low-carb. Currently watching this with my scrambled eggs made on butter, with herbs, chicken, and carrot. Love your vids, man, keep it up! (also there's a misspelling of ''your'' at 17:18)

14:00 I love the extra touch of having Ansel Keyes featured for the "animal fat kills you" segment. Truly one of AHA's biggest screw-ups ever.

Can confirm that fries cooked in beef tallow tastes sooo much better. When I smoke brisket, I like using the fat trimmings for making homemade beef tallow. Sooo worth it if you have a good way to strain and store the fat long-term.

Among many other things, I’d love to be able to go back in time and try the original McDonald’s fries from the 1940’s…
