How can Ukraine prevent a winter stalemate?

The Ukrainian military has liberated Kherson and made moves east of the Dnipro River. In the east, heavy close-range fighting has devolved into trench warfare, with heavy losses on both sides. How can Ukraine maintain momentum after Kherson and prevent a stalemate in the south and east? How much can the war change in 2023?

We could defeat one of our major geopolitical adversaries for a fraction of the cost we spent on defeating the Taliban while risking no lives of NATO troops. I don’t understand why we aren’t putting our full weight behind Ukraine and giving them all the equipment they require.

I don't understand what is assumed to be so difficult about Crimea, and I think general Hodges explains that beautifully at the end. Crimea will be the same kind of trap for the russian forces, as Kherson was. Which will in turn pave the way for a classic Russian good-will gesture.

Kherson fell with a minimum of fighting, taking into account the general intensity and way of fighting in this war i general. Because Kherson became a trap, and they had to evacuate.

If Ukraine ram a wedge straight through the land bridge, it will allow them to:
1. Put the Kerch bridge under fire.
2. Squeeze out remaining Russian forces west of the wedge in the land bridge.
3. Put all of Crimea under fire.
4. Cut the water supply to Crimea
5. Inflict massive losses to Russian shipping trying to supply Crimea.

Holding Crimea will be 100% untenable, and, if Russian forces are trapped there, they run the risk of having to negotiate some kind of free passage back to Russia, risk being obliterated while recreating, or running out of supplies and forced to surrender en mass.

One may wonder, of Ukraine even need to set a single boot on the ground in Crimea, in order to push the russians out.

48:16 / 1:05:00 will Washington have to go along with Ukraine’s exit strategy ? – not politically possible not to.
But Administration by parcelling out weapons is trying to influence Ukraine exit strategy – pennywise thinking
Will get very sticky over Crimea, US says victory is what Kiev defines it, but Paris and Berlin do not agree with that

Continuing to insist that Ukraine is an independent Nation and stands for the needs of its Citizens, appears as stupid as suggesting Vietnam was a Domino?

How do we get the Bidin Administration and the Pentagon to believe that the Ukranians Can win their fight against Russia? How can help Germany and France to change their minds and understand that the West must help Ukraine take bake Crimea and all their territory?
