Took the family and we loved the movie. I personally found myself holding back the tears multiple times desiring to be a better father. I missed this sort of movie. There is a subtle climate change note, but absolutely no preaching. Fantastic film.

In my mind this is a prequel to the Jetsons & Roz is a prototype for Rosie. People may not remember but The Jestsons was set in a dystopian future where the surface of the earth was made uninhabitable by pollution, which is why people in the Jetsons lived above the clouds.

I went to this movie on opening night and i was literally the only person in my theater room, and yet i loved this movie so much, i was afraid nobody else was interested

Thank you for the review. Basically, Dreamworks is THE family brand now.

Pedro Pascal? AGAIN? Is he the only actor left in Hollywood?

I read the book with my kid. The movie follows its own path for a better cinematic experience, which in this case, was not a disappointment. Movie is enjoyable as the book is, said that, they are like siblings, similar but not the same.

News flash Alan, adults can watch animated movies; in those, we still have STORIES and as long as the story is good, I don't care if it's animated or not. 😍

When I saw the first trailer for this (the one with close to no spoken text) I had to hold back the tears, sooo beautiful ❤
Glad this turned out as great as I hoped!

It's worth noting we don't see the crash as you described it Alan, the movie actually just starts with the robot waking up, which is good. Fly and migrate are the same thing... it's eat, swim, and fly. That is the simplest thing to remember from this movie lol, which is shown multiple times in the robot's vision infographics lol. I love your channel but you guys can do better sometimes. When discussing the style, also don't forget to mention that this is really a development of the style from Sony's Spider-Verse movies and Mitchells vs the Machines, and of course a follow-up of DreamWorks' own Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. I saw this on Thursday in IMAX, there were only 3 other people at the showing, loved the movie. Luckily I didn't pay attention ahead of time to who the voice actors were. They don't hire voice actors anymore, they just hire actors that they THINK are popular (*cough* Chris Pratt *cough*) so they can put their names in the trailers and on the posters to draw attention to the film.

Once you realize how much Alan says, "I'll say this..." you'll hear it constantly.

This was really good. Its definitely a top 10 Dreamworks film for me, maybe even top 5. It's one of those family movies that does storytelling right because it respects the intelligence of the audience. It's one of those movies whose content is family friendly, but is themstically rich on a level that you won't really appreciate until you're older, which makes it enjoyable for anyone regardless of their age if they enjoy sci-fi and good animation. Well worth checking out.

I’ve seen every scene in this film before however it’s so well executed that the emotional moments hit me.

This is the kind of thing Disney would’ve put out 5 or 10 years ago. Spot on, Disney can’t Disney anymore.

Best animated film of the year and instantly a top 5 Dreamworks film for me. Chris Sanders is an absolute legend. Man created 2 of the best animated films of all time with Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon. He is cracked

Sounds like a movie that would’ve been amazing without dialogue.

I read the book to my kids a couple of years ago and they loved it so I intend to take them to see this. Good to know it's good. Also, I don't know what Pedro Pascal is paying his agent but it's not enough. Guy is everywhere!
