The Wild Robot - Movie Review

At the Wild Robot panel at SDCC, the director said that when the movie begins, it’s more cgi animation. As the robot becomes more connected to the wildness life, the animation style switches to hand painted animation. Thought that was cool!

A perfect example of a family movie that only gets better when you're an adult is The Iron Giant. Hands down one of the greatest films I've ever seen (not just animated but overall!)

I feel like Incredibles perfectly fits the description of ‘can be enjoyed by adults more than kids’; all the dialogue and themes make it feel like a movie made for adults; when I watched it as a kid, I just thought it was a really fun superhero movie but years later, I can relate to Mr. Incredible wanting to return to the glory days as opposed to the monotony of his current life

This is the LAST full Dreamworks movie since all their movies from now will be mostly made in other studios. So I’m glad they ended this era of animated films on a high note ❤

My embarrassing example: Marry Poppins. Loved it as a kid and now as a parent/adult I see so many layers. That song “A Man Has Dreams, ” as a man and a father, breaks me every time. I know it’s a fun musical about some kids and a quirky nanny but the story/movie focuses around the transformation of George Banks. Marry Poppins is a true master class of a movie that means different things to different people based on their stage of life.😊

So glad that we can see something not just recycled and a dollar store version of other things that were recycled also. Glad there is still something good out there.

That said, JEREMY, I honestly am a bit baffled that we haven't gotten a video about the soul reaver remasters from you yet!!!

This is my youngest daughter's favorite book, and she has been so eager to see it since the first trailer. I am so happy to hear all the love it is getting. Can't wait to experience it with her.

The fact that Chris Sanders wrote and directed this movie excites me the most. He has been in the animation industry for decades and it truly upsets me how a lot of people still don't know his name. From Lilo & Stitch to How To Train Your Dragon to The Croods and now this movie, Sanders is easily one of the greatest artists working in the animation industry. I really hope this could be a bigger hit for him. He's such a gem in animation industry, i adore him so much

When I saw the trailer for this, it didn't have any dialogue and I thought it was gonna be this interesting silent movie about a robot and nature. Then, the trailer ended with a huge celebrity cast list and I was severely disappointed. BUT this review has definitely made me want to watch this movie. First Awesometacular of the year? That's some good praise!

I totally forgot about this movie. To me, it feels like it barely got advertised and I keep reminding myself "Oh right! This movie is coming to theaters soon." Glad to hear it's a fine film.
