Set the correct orientation when exporting from Blender to Unity. When exporting models from Blender into Unity one must take into account the handedness of both programs.
Blender considers Z vector as the UP vector, but Unity considers the Y vector as the UP. Now, if you want a model who is facing up in Blender (along Z) to be facing up in Unity (along Y) when imported, follow the video for a fix.

Is it different If let's say I am trying to rotate a part of an object around its parent? For example I have a tower object which has a ring around it, when I tried to rotate it, it did not exactly rotate correctly at the tower's center and was kinda all over the place.

3 minutes of the video is wasted information, showing how to rotate and object and whatever. please explain upfront that you want to show an example, otherwise i would have closed the video because i thought the title was misleading
