OMG! i spent 3 to 4 years trying to solve this problem, literally. no one explain this, just right now after 3 weeks learning blender and studying to make characters to my video game, i tryed to export and import on another scene, it wont send with material and textures... some simple materials without textures did, so i got curious and intrigued and finally found your video.

OMG thank you! I've been using 3DS Max for about 19 years now but moved over to Blender about a month ago. I work a lot with games engines and often do a lot of modular building. So it's nice to be able to make modular pieces, export them and import them when needed. This helped a lot! When I imported my model before, the scaling was all off lol.
