Is it possible to do a local recording, playing a title in 21:9 (3440x1440)...but have OBS record it in 16:9 (1920x1080)? I set these as my canvas and output and the recording ended up being tall and stretched. I'm thinking I have to play at whatever setting in game to what I want my recording output to look like. Which is fine, it'll definitely run great and record without issues.

I have NVIDA 2060 but the output resolution when I match it at 5120x1440 leaves the downscale filter greyed out and says "resolutions matchm no downscaling required" and then when I finally got it to record instead of giving me an error message, the recording is very blurry but my screen is 240hz frame rate and 1440p, so I must be doing something wrong. Help please

Coming back to you with 2 questions, first is there a way to fix the stutter in my videos ? I use a machine very similar or identical to yours (3090, 5950x, 64 GB RAM, NVME 4.0 Samsung 980 PRO, etc) Second, what bitrate to use so that the files to no longer be that huge and how do i modify it ?

Haven't stepped up to Super Ultrawide yet... 34" Ultrawide is plenty for my aged eyes to keep up with for now...

Thank you very much for this. There is one problem however. With this h.265 setting the file size is ridiculous. I just recorded something for 2 minutes and 45 seconds and the file size was 11GB. That's just insane. Any way to lower the bitrate some? With h.264 at least we have control over the bitrate. Thanks.

Do you know what configuration would be needed to do a dual PC setup at 5120X1440p. Like is there yet a capture card that can do this? To my knowledge when using a second PC using a second video card to record, i think I had to have another 32:9 monitor? Is that correct OR do I just need another 5120X1440p capable GPU on the second recording PC?

How did you get he Encoder to use NVENC for h265? Did you download any plugins?

I am trying to setup a 5120 x 1440 stream on youtube and every time it appears to me with black bars at top and bottom, even though i try to watch the stream in 5120x1440. I use windows capture because when i use full screen it shows a completely black screen. Any idea what can be the issue ?

Hey do these settings work with streaming in 5140x1440 . ?? I’m having a lot of trouble getting my screen to scale to that output without it looking crazy can you please get back to me
