one of my fav cli shortcuts is Alt + . -- it grabs the last argument and inserts it again (and cycles them on repeat presses.) 5:23 👋

The video is really helpful. We sorted out a client challenge.

Thank you! Just found out that the xrdp was to be enabled and post that it started working.

Hello. Thank you for your video. I am a new user to Tumbleweed, and have it running perfectly under Proxmox. However, like you, my initial login via Xrdp got me to the Xfce desktop by default, whereas I had installed Mate desktop, which I prefer. So your help with .xsession was what I needed. (ie echo "mate-session" > .xsession).
Also your use of zypper install -t pattern ??? wasn't an option I knew about and thus was also helpful. Your use of the firewalld command line convinces me that I'm happier with ufw!!
Thanks again
John

Thanks for your video, I ran into similar rdp problem with KDE, here my findings:

1. If I connect to the box with non-root user and try to rdp with the same user it didn't work, I don't get disconnections but get a black screen with mouse pointer.
2. If I connect to the box with non-root user and try to rdp with root it works.
3. If I connect to the box with root and try to rdp with non.root, it works.
So, looks like connecting locally and via rdp WITH the same user is not supported in KDE.

Will continue researching.
Thanks again.

I had this working before, but ran a system update on the Linux server. Now the VNC can't connect? Just says "Some Problem"

kinda late to the party. I solved the issue you had by modifying the /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh.
replace the SESSION="gnome" with SESSION="plasma"
