Sikhs were often targeted after 9/11, but studies show most Americans don't actually know what Sikhs stand for.

I am not a Sikh. I am a Buddhist. But in my opinion, Sikhi is the most beautiful religious community in the world.Their mandate is to be of service to all humans. They are immensely kind. Yet they are warrior saints and will help you if you are in danger. Sat Sri Akal

I’m French born British national, who converted to Sikhism, a non sectarian faith, not God fearing, but God loving and therefore loving humanity with all its diversity. Whatever creed, caste, colour or gender, we are coming from the same divine spirit. Sad to see how the Trump cult has polarised American society legitimising racism and hatred.

I clicked on this video because I have always been curious about their beliefs. I'll watch a different video to dive into that since this didn't cover their spiritual beliefs too much, but I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about Sikhs. I went to school in the 90s with a boy who was a Sikh and he was super laid back and nice. No drama. Never had any issues with anyone.

The Guru Granth Sahib opens with the basic concept of the One Universal, supreme Energy called by so many different names across humanity, .
Ik oankar - One absolute being (God)
Satnam - Eternal truth it's name
Karta Purkh - Creator
Nirbau - without fear
Nirvair - without hate/ enmity
Akal Murat - Deathless/timeless image
Ajuni - Beyound birth and death
Saibang - self existant
Gurprasad - known by the Guru's Grace.
This is repeated numerous times and at the start of every section as a constant reminder.
In the words of the tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh "recognise the human race as ONE"

It is so upsetting when a Sikh is attacked. They are peaceful people who love to smile. I often find them working a shop and they are so friendly and caring.

A religious warrior group? Sounds like an incredible setting for a fantasy story.

In all honesty, every Sikh I've met (like 3) are very good people.

As a white agnostic american raised in a Christian family, I really resonate with sikhism. I've never met one in person but I feel like we'd get along great. Though one time I saw a sikh truck driver with a big decal of an assault rifle on the side of his rig and I was like "hell yeah" 😂

I am gonna correct some things. The 5Ks are the basic parts of our traditional militias uniform which later joined into the Indian army. They don't represent anything and they all double as weapons or armour if they aren't ceremonial ones.

Our guru gave Sikh special identity in the form of turbun
Guru Gobind Singh Ji also age immense power to the handicap to gave them positivity

He was God messenger on earth

He was alone in a forest and knew that his whole family had sacrificed themselve for religion

Alone in forest
Nobody was their with him
No mother
Father was martyred long ago for another religion
All four children martyred in battle
No wife with him
Still he praised god and was always the words of God
Never criticized that why this happened with him like all of us do something maybe

Just think he knew everything still he praised god
Some of us might be in depression

But the people of God or messenger of God are always in god's hukum (actions)

They way God desires is what is destiny.

He said one Sikh is capable to fight a hundred thousand soldiers

That is the power he gave us

That we are today is because of that quality and that ideology of his .

🙏🙏🙏

Spiritual identity is not defined in personal choices of clothing, but by the heart and mind of religious people. Religion is a problem because it makes one an outsider. But true spirituality found in Christianity is based on the heart and mind of people but religious clothing. The heart and mind of someone is connected to the spirit of God and the spirits of other people. This is what makes one spiritual and connect to God Himself.

My question is who or how do Sikhs see the Israel issue. Support Israel or Palestinians?

In the Name of Allaah the Most Gracious and Most Merciful. The Creator is Allaah Exalted and Most High to whom belongs all Worship and Everything comes as the Creation. We have to know who the One God is and the One Path not many paths so the Worship is how he taught and wants from the Son of Adam. Prophet Ibraheem was the Father of the Prophet's and The Prophet's were Paternal Brothers so no exemption can be made, even with the Final and Seal of the Messengers. Prophet Muhammad. Peace be upon them all and families.

the brief coverage of the indianapolis fedex shooting in this video is misleading. the attack was not racially or religiously motivated. the shooter just happened to work at a place with a lot of sikhs.

his motivation was my little pony. he was upset that he could never meet a character from my little pony in real life, so he took out his frustration on people at his old workplace, and killed himself in hopes that he would be with that character in the afterlife. i am not making that up.
