Follow the basics of a step back or pivot turn on a stand up paddle board.
`
1) rotate the front foot so the toes roll over the centreline of the board.
2) step the non rotated foot back. As you step be really positive and keep the knees bent and stoop low.
3) push your weight into the back leg.

Note: try shifting weight between the legs, so push on the back leg, then push the weight into the front leg. This is how you control the tilt of the board.
