When i was still active in basketball, i played with african ballers. From what i learned, if they have good ball handling skills, just guard the man, and dont look at the ball. It worked for me. Doesn't matter if they do cross overs, ankle breakers, if they jump shot or what, i just guard them by looking at their hips or chest.

Anyone can score especially people who trained basketball all their life. Just make it harder for them to play ball

Thought shot, I would probably drop the fake and use your body for my protection, it gives better control on the release and it’s tougher for a a recovering defender to cleanly block

Before u even attempt that layoff the ball already swept away off ur hand when u jump. It’s just that easy to defend.
