I grew up on a farm. The time to buy farmland was 20 years ago. In many areas the price the land sells for is higher than the crops grown on it can produce. If you get lucky and that land later gets sold for housing, then you’ve made it. Otherwise you’ll need to be able to subsidize the land payment with some other asset.

I'm 23 and make about 58K. I'm on step 5 of the FOO and have fully funded my Roth IRA. Should the remainder of my investments go into an HSA or a Roth 401k plan? I cannot fully fund both accounts. I am worried about missing out on huge Roth savings at a young age if I fund my HSA first.
