More Sewing Vlog then Sewing tutorial but I go through all of the steps of sewing a vintage style casual daytime spring dress , Watch me sew a beginner sewing friendly dress using a vintage sewing pattern Butterick 7066 (you can sew along link to purchase sewing pattern below) from the 1950s (1954 to be exact) and springtime floral fabric from a hobby lobby fabric haul while having a cozy chat about the excitement I feel for spring and going outside and being around humans again. Along with the apprehension and anxieties that come with that. The changes I need to make as a parent, partner and human. You know "all of the thing" because "why not"
I hope you enjoy this style of video please provide me some feedback either way. and if your into it subscribe and stick around I'm on Instagram as well.

This really is the perfect spring dress! I love the colour combination. Your thoughts and words in this video were so beautiful. I know I'm certainly emerging into the world slowly and taking stock of what's important in my life and the person I want to be. I think for me this past year I've learnt a lot about the importance of community and that's what I want to prioritise in the future 💚

I adore the way your dress came out. I too also slowed down and gave in when it came to my children. I had to stack up on activities and experiments to maintain. I have not grown in to living like we were over the past year. I'm happy to get back to my normal. Blessings to you Drew.

This was a fantastic video!!! I love the discussion. Cheers to a new beginning. As you know I find pleasure in sewing apart from my children.

Great job on the dress...I like the cuff detail. Do you wear shoes of the period when you're rocking the vintage look?
I don't mind covering my face, I just make masks to match whatever I'm wearing from scrap fabric. I am not ready to uncover just yet. Thanks for the video....

Loved all aspects of this video. I will be one of the last to stay masked, due to my asthma and public transportation keeping it mandatory when boarding the bus or train.
I lived a sheltered life prior to the pandemic. I was a home body. Watching people go places and read about it on social media.I am realizing that is not a life I want to continue. I do not know what my first going out event is, but I crave attending events.
Thanks for the video!

You always use such pretty patterns and fabrics.

I really love how life has slowed down over the last year+. I am excited to be able to do more things, but I look forward to doing the things I choose to do, not just what I feel obligated to do.

Did you just upgrade your shooting gear? I'm a few minutes in and I'm appreciating the shot angles and the editing and voice-over.

You are wonderful and taking the time to relax with your children and give yourself grace will be a beautiful memory they'll cherish forever. Their entire generation will.be in the same place, so they won't be affected or behind. They'll live a life with appreciation for peace. You're doing great, mama.
Also this dress is so friggin cute
