This is the kind of episode where I'm glad Extra Seconds exists. It's difficult to encapsulate the greatness of Mr. Plow, and all its individual jokes, in 60 seconds.
(Extra Seconds will probably be up Saturday, depending on how painless my Christmas shopping goes.) :p

To this day I still sometimes hear my Dad singing “my plow that’s my name, that name again is mr plow”.

I'm Mr. Plow and I'm here to say,
I'm the plowiest guy in the USA,
I got a big plow and can move a lot of things,
Like your cow if you have one

Michelle Pfeiffer? Ha! The only true Catwoman is Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, or Eartha Kitt. And I didn’t need molded plastic to improve my physique.
Pure. West.

You know, I rewatched Homer Badman the other day and I was astonished by how applicable it is to current events - despite being completely satirical. It's crazy how the writers can create stories that stay relevant decades into the future. That's how you know that The Simpsons is a truly remarkable show. The episode is a masterpiece anyway, so I'm surprised you haven't done a review of it yet!

The best thing about this episode is that instead of the status quo being God, God is the status quo.

I really like this episode, but I do think Barney is written a bit out of character here. He usually isn't a villain. And sure, everything is fine in the end, but it still comes off as a bit strange for someone like Barney.

This was my favorite episode as a kid, since my father would plow the snow in the winter. Although I didn't get beaten up for it like Bart did.

That independent film style commercial is still hilarious.

I swear there was a deleted scene with the Krusty Brand vehicle. Right before Homer sees the Batmobile and after the crash test scene. There must be.

One of The Simpsons greats from the golden era of the show. It's hard to think that in the forth season this was considered "wacky" (compared to the very down to earth first two seasons) which indeed it is, but it's also proof that even an off-the-wall plot can still be held together by a semi-logical story (car radio dial on bridge not withstanding) plus hold a lot of truly laugh-out-loud moments, unlike most of today's shambolic "trying way too hard" episodes.

Have you done a review of the Regina Monalogues? I remember when I first watched it I cringed when Tony Blair made a cameo appearance, albeit in cartoon form
