I personally think that when Melissa was referring to them as “these people” she was talking about the producers as they were forcing the other moms to invade her privacy. She’s mentioned in recent interviews that the producers would completely stage many scenes and I believe that this is one of those situations because of the way Melissa was addressing them and the amount that was blanked out, possibly to hide that she was talking about producers. I’m not 100% sure but this is my theory.
