Having each tournament have its own custom stage would be cool, like its required for game 1 so there's no rps. Would give things more identity

I at least like how the April Fools' joke on Slippi is making the stage list older legal stages. Really brought me back.

I like the 64 DK stage as a counterpick against Fox because the rotating platforms help disrupt his up throw up air combos

i think accesability is the toughest part here. it would be hard to practice on custom stages if you still run vanilla smash on gamcube. similar to ucf but if you practice without ucf and then compete with it, it should help you. this would not be the case with custom stages. that being said i am all for new stages being added.

I miss that flash of an era during quarantine where everybody ran custom stages, and I remember one of the big online weeklies (like Rona Rumble or something) did custom stages with really nice competitive layouts for a time. I was hoping that time was the start of some momentum in that direction, but...meh.

At least the 64 scene agrees that they need more stages, and Super Smash Bros (64) gets to enjoy it with Smash Remix.

Uh huh... when people suggested this a couple years ago, they got shot down at best as opponents to the status quo and at worst noobs/bads. I guess the community doesn't really get to have an opinion, we just have to nod like idiots at the content creators/commentators/TOs/top 50 players and what they want to do because... y'know, appeal to authority.
