I'm looking at a brand new 2023 Dodge Charger SXT AWD V6 for like 23k. They have over 40 and they all say 122 days or more on the lot. I wonder if I go in and ask to take one for 18K if they would do it. I mean at that point it feels like hey brand new car with a V6, AWD and it's a full size sedan with lots of space for 18K and 0% financing? (The 0% is new and I think specific to the dealership.) It makes a new car sound pretty good as long as I put a GPS tracker, kill switch and security window film which would still be well under 23k if I can get it for 18. I'm just worried about overall quality of the vehicle since it's the last year for them apparently and how often they are stolen.

I have a 2021 Durango gt black top addition on a 10k mile lease for 3 years my payment is $680 but that's only because I did a trade on a 2019 RT and owed 10k on it. At first, I thought I got screwed and still feel that way, but with today's numbers, I think I'm ok. I will be out that lease in Sept, and if things don't change I'll be financing a used car through Navy Federal.

If the Charger has a V8, I would not touch it used. Too many people abuse these cars and you probably have no way of telling. That is less likely to be true with the V6s. Still, I would go with a new GT. It looks almost exactly like the higher trims, has the same transmission and even the same tires as the slim-body higher trims. In my area, dealers are discounting them at least $2, 000 and Dodge is also offering $4, 500 in incentives. The only reason to go with the V8s is performance and if you are performance-oriented, the Tesla Model 3 Performance is in the same price range and it's a Hellcat killer. Dodge killed the HEMI for a reason - they are a performance brand and they can't match the EV performance with an ICE at the same price point.
