I skip Dice Jail. At the second nat-1 for the night, they get 1 warning. Upon the third, I will take the d20, and place it into my mouth. Chewing it in front of the other dice never to see its comrades again, as a warning to those remaining that failure is not acceptable.

Thankfully Goblin teeth grow back, right, right?

I'm seeing this after coming home from a session where our bard has managed to roll five 1s during critical survival situations, and subsequently lost her leg, acquired a deadly divine curse, a bunch of mutations and exploded into a cloud of ash, alerting the entire solar system to our presence in the process.

She really should've put her dice in jail at some point.

Finally using the dice and rolling a Natural 1 again would have been the predictable ending. This ending was so much more satisfying. This skit will become a tutorial video for all my current and future dice.

I have this really funny story from when a while ago while I was playing dnd. We went to a shop and I bought a chicken hat. My dungeon master thought this was really funny so he told me this: "the shop keeper tells you in a whispered voice, that hat is cursed." I go, "cool!" Then I wear my hat and suddenly I'm able to transform into humanoid characters. So naturally, the first thing I do with my newfound power is I turn into a gingerbread man and chase little villager kids. I'm not joking this actually happened. PS, keep the laughs coming! :)

Yesterday I continued a game where a friend rolled a nat 1 on initiative, and our DM puts crits and 1's in first and last independently of scores in initiative, so he was after the "event" in the boss fight. We made it have like two different stages, because we teleported away, prepared ourselves and re-entered the fight. Our DM told us to roll again for initiative and the same player, the same character, again, rolled a natural 1. Two sessions ago our DM talked about how this character was cursed with bad luck, but it sometimes gets to a point of actual awe.

My dice jail is a 3D printed d4 mimic. So if any dice roll low consistently I just set them on top and let them feel the pain they have given me

I've considered making d20s out of hard candy so I can eat them if they misbehave. Just need to find some food safe silicone to make a mold out of.
