I like greed mode more than the normal mode, but I hate greedier mode with a passion

Its also very useful to save a 2 of diamonds in a separate room. Once you have blamk card and 50 cents, its infinite money with the battery

greed mode is a coin flip it feels like half of every greed run is a break or really good but in the other half you die on the first floor

Also use lovers or hierophant and blow up temperance or wheel of fortune. And use jera if there's one. Better if you have the clear rune, then you've sped up your breaking x100

Each time i tried to make this break i just got dogshit red hearts and keys from chests and then wasn't able to afford more batteries and keep re-rolling, one day i might get lucky enough to achieve it

This break is even easier if you find the 4, 5 volts item because you can kill the bosses on the devil deal wave and when they almost diyng you quit and reenter free batteries basically

Also, moms key makes the break go completely ballistic

I'm sorry but greed mode isn't bad, I would even say it's good. However, greedier is just unfun bullshit that was added in afterbirth + to make it seem like they actually added something to that horrible dlc.

Something id personally recommend is swapping steps 4 and 5 because when you open a chest the chest itself can be rerolled, but the chest despawns if you leave the room, so again my recommendation is that you buy the battery THEN open all chests, it makes it just slightly easier

It's also good to buy a battery if u can before u open chests since the d20 will reroll open chests.

is the D20 in greed mode by default ? or do I have to unlock it first

I just found out that, if you are crazy enough, you can do it with D100 too, cuz it has the D20 effect as well

The D20 rolls empty chests too, as long as you don’t leave the room because then the empty chest disappears

You can d20 break in normal runs too, as long as you get habit /sharp plug and old bandage /shard of glass/ gimpy. Or you get lucky and spawn batteries every time

note: better do d20 breaks before unlocking golden bombs, otherwise golden troll bombs may appear and they are annoying
