I would bet this officer is a US veteran who has seen combat because of how he engaged by himself and his composure throughout was what a trained soldier would do...Amazing and frightening and this officer needs to be recognized for his actions.

He went from speaking with those children to having to deal with that messed up situation. Officers: The moral to this story is if you don't currently have a patrol rifle - GET ONE. This is the very definition of a HERO running TOWARD gunfire. Right place, right time, right response.

One of my sisters friends was in the mall when this took place. He worked near the back of the store and thankfully he was okay. I feel terrible for all of the people that lost their lives that day.. especially the children and the child that lost his family. Rest in peace ❤️❤️❤️
