Nice video Cody. We should be adding access control to our church doors for the day-care area. This is a good over view to show what can and can be done.

Couple comments:

1. It is 1/3 Amp, not 33A some could be confused, this is a small device.

2. The din rail mount, it actually pushes onto a din rail and snaps on top. This is actually a part i dont like, now when you plug in cables while mounted, it tries to disengage the mount, the spring load should be on the bottom.

I was so confused for the first 3:20s I thought the new control unit only had two inputs on the left and three on the right or I thought it was the reverse of the unit. Finally realised that it's jsut a cardboard cover over the front of the unit.

I have a perfect project for this! Back gate strike lock, I can put my old g3 flex to capture then Front of the gate and then another to capture the back side, just wondering as this is the gate I bring my motorcycle in do we have a setting that will allow ai to detect the number plate then unlock the lock 🤔

Would work so well zip in form work don’t even have to get off the bike 😂

I hope you can help me with something... we are installing Ubiquiti technology in the headquarters of the company I work for in Venezuela... part of that technology is Telephony... but the system does not allow us to use Venezuela even though the line is analog... any advice?

HI, thx your videos are great, we just install the G2, but the door lock is working on reverse, meaning it locks when we unlock, would you know how to have this fixed

more stuff about this kit:
- Many cell phones randomize their NFC tags now so you cant pair MANY models of cell phones with the reader including the google pixels, rendering the NFC functionality useless.
- Notifications on the Uifi Access app are broken and are unreliable, so there is about a 30% chance the door attendants will get the call. Ive seen the access reader calls not work on 8 of 10 cell phones.

Hey Cody, does every door need an Access Hub? or can one hub control multiple doors? Also does the Access Hub have the ability to do contact sensors? Can the access hub sound an alarm if a door is opened? like my Brinks alarm can it trip that?

Hi Cody, what happens if the hub cant reach the UDM but has power?

Does the user information get stored locally on the hub?

Looking through the UI forums, it seems if there is a power loss the HUB maintains some settings in regard to scheduled unlock? Im thinking in the event the UDM loses power before the HUB it continues to work on the last configuration?
