I have now driven some 10k miles in mine and I love it more every day.
It truly is the best of both worlds for me. Just some comments;
- Only 200W output for the 240V in the rear.
- Getting in the trunk is a pain as it isn't knee friendly. I just stuck a flat foldable step in the lid. And I added some wide transparent tape on the top of the lid to avoid 'buckle belt'scratches.
- Cover is great. But storage is taking depth from the bed.
- I hear no clicks from people here in Spain. It is like a nice girl. Some guys directly smile and try to chat you up. Others look away and later turn their heads when you passed.
- The suspension is soft and nice on the roads. And I like the nose dipping when hitting the brake. Nice appearance.
- Independant suspension Makes for better road contact in the curves. Also no rear hopping like on leaf springs, designed for loads.
- Tyres ain't that expensive. As it isn't low profile, neither high speed specifications. Also the large circumcision make for less revolutions per mile.
- Price is high, but also includes lots of options like towbar, bed cover etc.
- Sadly there is no option for a front camera. But I have ordered the parts for my DIY front camera addition for under 30 euros. And cleverly made without hardly any wiring.

I got mine back in June this year. I LOVE IT!! As for the towing.. there is a back to back test of the 2.0 and the 3.2 on You Tube, where they tow the same huge Caravan on the same route. The 2.0 was more economical and pulled better on hills in a timed run starting at a set speed at the bottom. BTW.. you forgot to mention it actually has double glazing!!

I have one myself in the wood every day in Ireland and it can pull the 2.5ton no problem once ur in manual also tested a amarok not in the same level.

Enjoying my ranger raptor for the past year. Great balance for on road comfort and off road agility.

I really can’t understand ppl that mention “0-60 in 10 seconds”... it’s a pickup.

Spectacular interview. I'm American and the wry approach to Ford is actually exactly what I needed.

Feel like you’re describing a whole different vehicle to my experience. Tows my 2.5t boat like it’s not there. No issue hitting 150+kph from 100 in under 5 seconds when overtaking. Just traded up to 2l FX4 ranger from the 3.2 - heaps more power, feels much faster, much more economical, tows better. Ranger tows 3.5t raptor only 2.5t as the suspension can’t handle same payload, but has better articulation and baja mode etc.

Don't know about The Republic but in the UK it has a massive competitive disadvantage for any business user. Since it doesn't carry over a ton payload it does not class as a dual purpose vehicle so it is taxed in every way as a car. Not only is the VAT not reclaimable but neither is normal tax relief on purchase and the road duty [tax] is something ridiculous.
Another significant disadvantage for many is its reduced tow rating, way down from the Wildtrak's 3.5 tons. So no towing your mini-digger behind this.
Business users, which make up the vast majority of people who buy new pickups, will get almost everything you get on this on the Wildtrak which will be at least 30% cheaper to run overall. The ride of the latest Wildtrak running on rear leaves, isn't at all bad but not quite up to the coils on the back of this Raptor.
This is a flagship show model for rich kids to play with as a weekend car to complement their Aston Martin. Just look at the car or SUV you can choose for the same sort of money.

Next gen is rumored to have an available 2.7L TT Ecoboost V6 with 325 hp / 400 lbs-ft torque in certain markets. 0-60 in the low 5 second range and finally deserving of the rest of the truck.

Just brilliant! Oh when are the producers at BBC Top Gear going to arrive with a contract! Top review! Best content. And so funny! .
Builders, landscape gardeners and farmers form an orderly queue! Or pay more for Amrock and a VW badge. Stay safe.

Its 3 years later - I am in market for a 2022 Raptor (as above) or a 3l v6 Amarok (also 2022). I never tow, don't do much real 4x4 climbing etc - do drive gravel road and dirt tracks for work. What would you buy? Please - the decision is killing me.

I am glad to see a truck up there in Ireland. I sell Rangers here in Colorado. Yours has some nice features and a diesel engine. I wish we had the Rock slider/running boards and the rolling bed cover. I laugh everytime you say it is "huge" or "compensating". I would love to get you in a real F150 Raptor or a Platinum F-350. That is compensating without compromise.
Did you say 60, 000 euro? That is crazy for a Ranger. You can buy two Rangers in the USA for that have more horsepower and the steering wheel would be in the "right" side.
Keep up the good work.
