2024 Ford Ranger Raptor Quick Review

The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor ($55,470 starting in the US, $77,945 starting in Canada) is all new and comes equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 making 405 horsepower and 430 lb ft of torque. It’s equipped with Live Valve FOX shocks, locking front and rear differentials, and a new electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. But does the Ranger Raptor live up to its potent spec sheet and handle the dunes with ease? And is it worth the hefty price tag it asks for as a mid-size truck? We hope you enjoy the episode. The extra channel is definitely getting way more love than we expected

It's incredible how much bigger Rangers have gotten over the years.

Good to see you guys continuing to help out the Throttle House guys - seems as though they really need your help.

In South Africa people love these. This size pick up truck in general and this model especially. That sound note from the engine is reason enough to buy the truck on its own

The Ranger is the most popular vehicle in Australia. They are extremely versatile and still very comfortable. Twin cab utes in general are everywhere as Australian are now using them as the family car

James: Think of it as Kirby
Me: Ok, from Kirby

Drove it to Wal-Mart. That is 90% of the use case for these!

I bought a 04 gx470 a couple months ago. 1 owner, 107k miles, $12, 900. Now that boxy is back in, it looks new again. It actually gets 19mpg with its v8 as well. Best "truck" for the money if you ask me.

Owned one in NZ for nearly 2 years, stoked my favorite car reviewers like it. Turn traction control completely off by holding it for 10 secs and lock the rear diff, turns it into a drift machine

love how quiet and comfortable that cabin sounds while youre smashing through those whoops... lots of vehicles can go offroad but few can remain comfortable and quiet while doing it.

Can we have the extra throttle house crew always in tuxedos with cute little bowties 👉👈, it'll be so much easier to distinguish with the main channel guys (the baddies).

A request for educational purposes only :D

I work with a 4WDing coach who gets these from Ford Aus, rocked up to Sydney Motorsport Park to see him jumping knolls in this thing. So much fun.

I worked at the plant in Michigan that made these from 2/22-12/23. Then ford decided to go cheap on the zinc phosphate so don’t buy one made after 12/23.

I don’t Watch it because of the cars, nono, just because of James… he makes my day, every single day!

@0:57 I look at the styling of 90s and early 00s vehicles sometimes and think, "did they even try?" That generation of tundra looks like something I'd draw in 6th grade. It doesn't make it a bad truck, it's actually a legend, which makes it even more of a wonder.

These are so common in South Africa, you would swear we aren't a developing country. I can go out now and I'll see at least 2 Ranger Raptors. The Ranger along with its Raptor Variant are EVERYWHERE

Took one on a test drive and bought it for the engine sound alone, lol - great truck so far and highly recommend
