Where did you put the power supply because it seems a little big and it looks like it'll get in the way

5V: one IC unit controls only one lighting unit
12V: one IC unit controls three continuous lighting units
5V is designed for short and small unit like PC case. Every single light can be different color.
12V is better for long distance use like decorating a house or a table. Every three continuous lights will do the same effect(not only color) at the same time.
Here is the difference(A-Z mean different colors):
5V: A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M | N | O |
12V: A | A | A | B | B | B | C | C | C | D | D | D | E | E | E

So with 5 strips and a Falcon controller, you could put the 5 strips in parallel and spell out scrolling text messages across your 30 long by 5 high LED board?

The power is not "dissipated" along the led strip as you said.
what happens is that the voltage drops along the strip because the copper that transfers the power along the strip is not that thick and it has resistance
if the strip is drawing a lot of amps the resistance of the copper makes the voltage drop along the wire and the intensity of the blue led decreases (the blue one needs the high voltage the most). In addition the strip is warming up...
that is the reason it is best to connect the voltage source from both sides of the strip.

I’m going to be putting these up on my house how did you put them on your gutters? Did you just use the adhesive backing ? If you did It’s been a year sine you did this are they still sticking ? I’m just looking for a clean way to attach them
