Dark Souls: How To Cut Off Seath's Tail (minimum MLGS requirements)

This video shows how to cut off Seath's tail with only 16 strength and 10 dex. A fully upgraded weapon definitely helps. Remember that Seath is highly resistant to magic. Attack the tip of the tail, not the base.

I kept chopping at the base of the tail and was frustrated nothing happened after multiple attempts, this really helped, thanks a lot

and i tried to cut it so often in the middle 'til i was frustrated enough that i began to punch my own head

For those who are in New Game plus and have better gear, I suggest to use a Black Knight Halberd +5.It’s swings vertically, fast and deals a lot of damage.I was stuck at this untill I used it.First try with the Halberd.

Thanks for the help, I’m in my ninth playthrough and I finally got this damn thing on my first try thanks to this video. If anyone has a faith build mixed with literally any greatsword, my personal recommendation is to power up your strongest greatsword with Sunlight Blade.

Cutting is tail is harder than the fight, i died like 18 times just because i wanted to cut his tail, the boss i most died in the soul series just because of he's stupid moving tail

Thanks, the tip to get him to break his own pillar thing helped a bunch. I also used the gold pine resin, seemed to take less hits to break. Also didnt know you had to hit the very tip

He just kept turning around for me, or slamming his tail and then turning around. After an hour I straight up installed a trainer to get the MLGS off his tail and then died so I could beat the shit out of him at full health. I was honestly shocked to see how easy he was. He literally has blind spots where none of his frontal attacks can hit you. Worst boss ever.
