How to cut off Kalameet's tail (Dark Souls Remastered)

Cutting off the tail of this mighty Dragon can be a real pain in the ass. He has only three attacks where you can even get to his tail.
1. If he tries to grab you and do his magic, whereafter you take double damage, he kinda sits down. If can dodge this move and run to his tail, you can hit it once. But you have to be pretty quick.
2. He can try to smash you with his tail. You can dodge the attack and hit his tail instead. But he does this attack very rarely.
3. The best attack he can do, is sitting down and breathing fire at you. This is the time for you to run to his tail and hit as hard and as many times as possible.

The boss is hard, but I could easily kill him if I fought him normally. But trying to cut his tail has proved to be the hardest thing to do in the game so far. None of the bosses were hard, but cutting his tail off solo is hard.

Baiting out the tail slam attack so you can have a propper attack window to cut the tail has got to be the worst thing to do in this game.

I hit him on nothing but the tail using a black knight glacé +5.

I ended up killing him before he dropped his tail. Wtf.

Got it on my next attempt after seeing this. Thanks! Got encouraged by the fact that you were already using a halberd which is my main weapon :) was afraid I would need to use something else to manage it and wouldnt have many upgraded weapons. Anyway, great!

I attacked only his tail using a BKH+5 and ended up killing him before the tail cut... I even restarted the fight twice... fuck this. (Every other tail cut in the game takes 2 to 3 hits except this...)

This isn’t a guide explaining how to cut his tail … it’s just you rolling around swinging and getting lucky. Where’s the strategy?

At 2:25, I don't understand how you have time to get round to the tail given that you were mid animation when the attack started. I'm always as close as I can, at 25% equip load, and if I full sprint as soon as the attack starts then his tail is still up in the air again by the time I get there. The actual fight is easy - I can pretty much do it without taking damage - but I just don't seem to be fast enough to ever even reach the tail.

Its annoying to have to drink the health potion standing still for like 3seconds thats enough to get hit again every 2seconds they should have change that since its a remastered

The omly windows of healing you have is when the fire circular and when the fire goes straight at you. At least that how i did it, another way to get the tail weapon to bait out it's gliding attack and if your lucky enough then it'll do a tail slam

With a zweihander is a fuking nightmare. Second try and need to go out because almost kill him. That halberd animation is great. So fast. Maybe il switch for the crystal one if I can't get with my zwei

Vous avez tous une version piratée du jeu ou quoi ? Ou alors j ai une version personnalisée pour me la mettre bien profond ! Dans MA version, kalameet ne se pose JAMAIS, il est pas la au sol à attendre que j arrive, il reste toujours en l air à me OS !
