UK Riots: Muslim communities feel like they need to 'take the law into their own hands'

The "speed of mobilisation" and the volume of people involved in the riots left Muslim communities feeling like something needed to be done but they do not feel confident in the police to do it, says Founder of Faith Matters and Tell MAMA Fiyaz Mughal.

7/7 was not the far right. Rochdale, Telford and`Nottingham was not the far right, London Bridge was not the far right, Borough market was not the far right, Manchester Arena was not the far right. If we can call out the atrocious behaviour of right wing thugs can we also please have the conversation about another significant minority and what the connection is to their atrocious behaviour.

There is exactly *zero* evidence that muslims in Britain feel "vulnerable" or "embattled" - quite the contrary, their representatives appear to be overflowing with a level of confidence bordering on arrogance in their dealings with the native British and the British government. The fact that this man is happy to go on air and demand that criticism of his religion be a crime, something Britain has not had for many centuries, is a perfect example.

In one community it is fine to "protect" themselves yet another community is prosecuted and persecuted for even daring to think about protecting its children from being grapped, LOL!
Oh, there are no blasphemy laws in the UK, so to create one for muslims seems very un-British, will there be a law for blasphemy against Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and so on?

I was extremely concerned about the policeman caught on camera blatantly telling a big gang of muslim men who were rioting to leave their weapons in the mosque because they'd get in trouble. Freely available to see and indisputable. So i think policing is very worrying to the uk population.
