The video discusses the most effective way to master 2-5-1 progressions using the Cycle of 4th/5th in music theory.
The Cycle of 4th and 5th is important for understanding chords and harmony in Western music.
It explains that a perfect fourth is a five half-step interval, and a perfect fifth is the inversion of a perfect fourth.
The video demonstrates practicing the Cycle of 4th harmonically by moving through chords in the cycle.
It suggests practicing with both major and minor chords and extending the exercise to seventh chords and chord extensions for advanced players.

It's amazing how every piano teacher on YouTube has a different way of explaining 2-5-1 progression. Yours is definitely the best I've seen yet.

I smashed the like! This is the most understandable video I've ever seen on the 2-5-1 chords progression, and combining it with the circle of fourths is brilliant 👏. Cheers! And Bravo! Cool background too: inspiring.

Man...I wish someone would have told me this 5 years ago! That 2-5-1 movement through the cycle of 5ths is the best, most useful exercise I've ever learned. Thank you, Waren.

Because of this video I realized 2-5-1 progression was just a cycle of 4th and 5ths, thanks Warren

Hands down the best explanation of 2-5-1 +circle of fifths I've seen so far, thank you so much. This exercise will help me a lot.

Thanks so much. I'm someone who can only play jazz by learning one song at a time, laboriously. I'd heard people say to practice 2-5-1 in the circle of 5ths, but I never managed to make sense of that. The shift to minor to change the 1 into the 2 chord was the key! Now I have a gazillion drills to craft. Also, you're doing something else here that's great and you're not mentioning it. You're instinctively adjusting your inversions as you cycle down so that you stay in the same registers, and there's no descent into murky low chords and no huge voicing jump to stay out of the swamp. I'm going to have to watch carefully to see just how you do that.

At the end you started playing the cylce of 4ths with 7ths and extended voicings it sounds just like talk music. I've never thought about going about it that way. I'll have to try it.

While watching SOUL, I thought of you and this video. Though I watch other videos you share, this one took me to another level, identifying inversions and such; that is always what I wanted to be able to do. So, THIS video is my personal Old Landmark that comes to mind when feeling grateful about what I know about music so far. You are such a gift as well as your family who supports you that you may share your time and ministry of music. Merry Christmas, Warren to you and your family. Be blessed.

This blew my mind lol
Every time I would practice 2-5-1 I would try to do it in my head (painful). Now I just know if I’m on a chord to go to the 4th. Beautiful.
