Inefficiencies in memorization and learning are one of the easiest ways students can improve their performance and efficiency. Unless you're gifted with powerful photographic memory, then you understand the struggle of 1) not remembering everything you should and 2) spending way too much time to memorize information, only to forget it later. Here's how you can boost your memory, memorize more facts, and spend less time doing it.

i'm only 20 years old and i have been losing my memory... but i refuse to allow my problem to defeat me. i have far too much strength and have been through too much to let this thing successfully sabatoge me. i can do it, because i can think it. this is MY mind. i ask, please, for strength. kind and encouraging words from you. i also hope that my story will be encouraging and motivating for you. this dark time will not be infinite.

Hi Dr. Jubbal, I'm 30 and always wanted top be a doctor. After my undergrad, I needed to take care of my family as the situation they were in was critical. Over the years they have become self sustaining and rely less on my input. I've been studying for my MCAT, and hopes to get in med school in the next few years. Do you have any insight or recommendations based on my briefly explained history and goals?

Also, your study tips and techniques have been saving my life and I've been optimizing my time thanks to you. You and your team are truly amazing people. Thank you!

My biggest struggle is to find what is more important to add to my flashcards. Besides that, its hard when i have to memorize a card with lots of information that cant be fragmented, e.g, all symptoms of a disease.

I'm not even a med student. I'm beauty therapy but I have a horrible time with recalling things if I leave it for a few days. In my course, I have to recall the cardiovascular system (arteries mostly), skeletal system (every bone), muscular system (the ones I work on around the body), lymphatic system (nodes) and also all the contraindications and treatments and legislations to go along with it. As easy as it is for me to learn and understand something, it's just as easy for me to forget. To be honest, this has been the best video I've found to help me out with my struggles because although my course isn't a pure science/med course, those things are heavily included. So thank you so much and keep up the good work!

Ever since I read A Mind for Numbers and learned about chunks and how to take advantage and strategize how to memorize I have been studying way more effectively and tackle study goals more easily. Love that this info is now found everywhere not just in a book.

I’m 18 and have always had an amazing memory. I can remember back to when I was 2 and my memory has always helped me out in school. I’ve always aced tests and presentations because of my good memory and my teachers and classmates have always been so impressed by it. Having an amazing memory really is a great thing and I wouldn’t give it up. But there are some disadvantages to a good memory. I have a nearly perfect recollection of almost everything. This includes bad memories. So I have a lot of unpleasant memories that I remember perfectly. And that’s led to me having ocd intrusive thoughts. Where unpleasant memories play in my mind over and over again. It drives me crazy sometimes. I’ve been super close to punching a wall a few times due to my intrusive thoughts. I recently started taking ocd meds and I haven’t been on it for very long but I’ve noticed that I haven’t had as much intrusive thoughts throughout the day. Which I’m really happy about and I’m sure I’ll be seeing more improvement as time goes on

I use anki as an auxiliar method to language learning (Japanese and Esperanto)and it works wonders for 15〜30 minutes of full focus study when possible while 2〜5 minute sessions need a little bit more repetitions to really get engraved on the mind.
