Learn from the greats. Rebuild beats. Learn the dynamics of your favorite songs. It will carry over. You don’t need any knowledge of theory to make good beats. You just have to know what makes a good song at the most basic of levels.

My biggest challenge in beat making has always been adding new instruments and figuring out how to put notes in piano roll and avoid clashing between sounds.
When you said that you don't know music theory I was shoked because I had thought that you must be good at music theory that you easily add new instruments to your beats and all of them sounds good.
