What are Isotopes? | Chemistry

I am very glad now. Because I now I know about Isotopes. Atoms of the same element that have the same atomic number but different mass number due to the difference in the number of neutrons are called Isotopes.Iso = equal and topes =having the same number of protons. Thank you very very much.☺😁

Isotopes - Atoms of the same element having the same number of protons and electrons but different number of neutrons .
Isotopes of a same element have the same chemically properties as they have equal number of electrons in their outermost shells .
Isotopes of a same element however have different physical properties as they have different number of neutrons .
Three Isotopes of Carbon - C12 C13 C14
Atomic number = number of protons Atomic mass - protons * neutrons
