I usually end my nights with either "One More Time" or " Theme from New York, New York." One more time is just a great overall last song, and Sinatra always goes great for my NY gigs.

However, for straight mixing sets, I liked both of the strategies mentioned in the video. I think they match the audience well, which after all is our job to identify in the first place haha

I usually just put in a 4 beat loop on a more minimal part of the song like with drums after the chorus and near the ending and just slow it down and make it sound chaotic before ending with a reverb out

Love how you put it - “Internet vs a real crowd” At weddings, people tend to look at you funny when you do too much! More than anything, weddings have tested my ability to be flexible and mix in some strange requests, as I end up taking a lot of them. Whatever makes my guests happy!

On a serious note, i would just use the flanger effect on my mixer, set a loop towards the end of the song, and just echo out/away

I usually turn off Master Tempo, put tempo range to wide and slow it down to 0 at the end of the chorus.

I like to do a hyping up riser that ends in a kick cause that starts my hand picked final track of the set that usually ends with soft vocals.

i usually end my sets by playing a prerecorded mix and hitting the dance floor bc everyone at my school (i mostly do house parties) loves my djing

or if im playing at this place called neo, they have a specific song that they play a few mins b4 they finish, get out by chvrches so sometimes i just play that till the end
