No such thing as a bad mix.... hit the air horn sample 30 times... explosion sample... Jesus pose. Hand heart make... slap the crossfader over... best transition ever

I was about to add the dance floor wouldn't notice, not unless it's seriously bad and drawn out. Another DJ would, but DJ's aren't dancing. So who cares? Just get on with it.

Great video! Loving your channel.

One more trainwreck source I’ve encountered: relying on quantize when your track grid is wrong. Don’t hesitate to then Quantize (little red button on the left of the screen) off if your loops are wonky- but then don’t forget to turn it back on the next time you want to set a quantized loop.

"after that you can continue to tweak the jogwheels out of sheer stubbornness"
You did NOT have to attack me like that.

clean echo out has saved me numerous times, OR the fake echo by hitting a 1 or 1/2 loop then slowly lowering the channel fader

I have always favord the vinyl effect of brake which originates from my days on technique 1200's ( turntables) when if the Segway was going bad, I could just hot the platter stop button and it stops in just over a quarter turn of the platter ...and w the new decks it's helpful to add echo when doing the brake as it blends the whole effects finale when doing so.

Love this video, I think as DJs we appreciate the craft and like you say a car crash for us can go relatively unnoticed by the audience. I'm only a hobbyist, I tend to record my sets and then listen back and get very frustrated if they don't sound like I'd envisaged but I listened back to a "car crash" set recently only to find it wasn't as bad as I'd originally thought so maybe we're a bit too hard on ourselves sometimes 🤔

Was djing B2b with my mate a few years back and when took off the wrong needle after nailing a double drop. He instinctively ducked under the booth to hide from the crowd 😂😂

I try to avoid beat sync, but it could be a good life saver If you mess up. Thanks for that tip!

Idk if anyone else does this, but the tempo works awesome for me depending on which type of song I'm going into.

Throwing the tempo slower on "wide" to your then poppin in with a song really gets the crowd going.

It's a "wtf" moment followed up by and whistles from the crowd :D
