Rav4 2019 - 2021 Maintenance Light Reset - Oil Life Reset

In this tutorial, I will show you how to reset the Maintenace Light Reminder on a Toyota Rav4. The Maintenance Light reminder is used to indicate when your Toyota Rav4 needs an oil change or other maintenance service. Resetting the maintenance light will also reset the oil life back to 100%. Always check that all of your required maintenance is complete on your Toyota Rav4 before resetting the Maintenance reminder. This video was filmed on the new 2019 Toyota Rav4 LE AWD with a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. The process will be very similar or the same in future years of the Rav4. 2020, 2021 2022 etc...

So I had an oil change and cabin filter done at Jiffy Lube yesterday for $183 Due to holidays they were really backed up yesterday and it took me about an hour.…and they didn’t reset the maintenance reminder. I called them up and they said search in YouTube….well thank goodness for this video. Easy peasy and saved me a trip back in to JL.

Thank you for the video. I have a 21 rav4 xle push-start and this worked great. As a side note, this can be done when the vehicle is actually turned on and running as well, not just accessory mode

Thanks for the explanation. The Toyota manual says nothing about putting it in the accessory mode by pressing the start button Twix and holding the vehicle sitting down for a few seconds. Your video made it very clear and easy.

Thanks. That certainly saves me some time. After the dealer failed to reset the switch I called and was told to drop by the dealer and they would fix. Couldn't find the answer in owners manual but your video spelled it out for me. Thanks again.

This was perfect! I to have a 2019 RAV4, well my wife does lol. The dealer did the 20, 000 mile maintenance, and forgot to hit the reset. This is not uncommon as I have a Lexus ES 350 and it seems almost every time the dealer forgets to reset that darn thing. Thank you very much. Have a great Fourth of July.
