Just what I needed today. Mirror mount worked its way loose and shaking. Also, the digital display would cut out intermittently. Nice and tight now, no shake and when I use the digital it works like a champ.

The cover does not need to be removed (danger of damaging cover). A torx (or sometimes called star) T20 is all you need. I bought the frameless HomeLink mirror from my Toyota dealer and swapped in less than 10 minutes.

I did mine without removing the second piece of the plastic cover. The screw that holds the mirror bracket is easily accesible after pushing the whole plastic cover down.
