Did you have to be so mean to that nice American lady? She was working her little heart out. Sheesh!

Having a host that respects the process of archaeology would be nice.

Mark's arrogant, patronizing attitude makes me not want to continue watching.

This would be a wonderful show if they would get rid of Mark, who is an unpleasant, arrogant, patronizing know-it-all. Alice, Katie, Meg and the safety team have it all handled and can show the archaeology without getting in the way.

Right off the bat, they introduce all of these women, exceptional in their fields, and then announce they are all headed by... Mark? Who is what? A cave diver?

Nice to see the patriarchy is still in full swing in Britain. Good god.

Learning where you shouldn't put a trench in is not worthless!

This could be an excellent series if'n they didn't use such a whiny, arrogant host who disses archeologists on a shoe featuring them. The English are usually pretty good at this type of video.

“(blah blah) your time here is worthless”, says the guy holding up the search with a pointless conversation 😒

If this show actually cared more about the archeology part, and less about the “extreme” part, it might’ve actually lasted. They spend so much time dealing with rigging and repelling that they never draw any satisfying conclusions by the end. Also, dump the host and put Dr Alice Roberts in charge. She has a much stronger academic background and better on screen personality.

Series is Ok but could use a different host.

Edit: thought it was established fact that Cornwall had Bronze Age connections to the Med for tin shipments.

Loved watching until 23 minutes... incredibly unprofessional host! Didn't see you out there all day surveying the land!

Guys, who is the strong gentleman with dreadlocks? I see him in every episode I have watched so far, working silently and diligently, and I would like to know if he is an archaeologist, an extreme sports enthusiast, a camera dude who got roped into the whole thing, what?? I have so much respect for this guy, and no info.

The fellow that is the host seems a bit stodgy....🤨🤨🤨, really rather full of himself. Wow after perusing the comments before my own, I am surprised to see how many like minded people agree! 👍🏼😃

I have watched several of these episodes and I have yet to understand what it is that Mark does. Would be such a better show without him.

These trading routes were not "established" by the Romans. The Romans established nothing, stole everything, and advanced brutality to heretofore unforeseen levels. Their fetishization in Britain is a holdover from Victorian imperialistic sensibilities.
These trading routes had been in place since late Neolithic and early Bronze Age seminal seafaring times, and were used by the Atlantic cultures to trade with Nordic and Phoenician civilizations long before "Rome" was even a gleam in the eye of that pesthole's fratricidal founder.

I want so badly to love this show. I do love the history, the locations, the filming, but the cast always annoys me, and the contrived scripts are so full of unnecessary, concocted drama. The actual drama of the real history and the beauty of the locations is enough. I keep watching them anyway hoping for better content.

If you want to follow in King Arthur's footsteps, I suggest re-enacting the siege of the castle of Guy De Lombard according to Sir Bedivere's cunning plan. Just make sure Mark is INSIDE the rabbit this time.

The work Meg did might reveal something later that would explain something Mark thought is missing. Everyone's work contributes to the cause!

A bit hard? Her expertise, knowledge, and sweat were more than you contributed...
