My cousin (who is like a sister to me) was in a car crash a few years ago, and suffered a traumatic brain injury. She had to go through neurosurgery. She came out of it with her intelligence, personality, and memories all miraculously intact (although she does suffer headaches and dissociative episodes). When I listen to this song, I think how close I came to losing her. Her head was cracked like an egg against her doorframe. Her castle could have been destroyed, and if it had been destroyed it could never have been rebuilt.

This song makes me think of how much I love her, and I cry like a bitch every time.
