Armadillos are cute.  But they can carry leprosy.

I remember when these guys first migrated to Missouri ~1995. I'd never seen one before and one summer they were everywhere. They cant hear for shit and are half blind so they're really easy to catch... which is also why they always get hit by cars.

Awesome, we have all caught them but I read a few years ago they carry leprosy. So not sure I am going to touch them anymore.

I walked through Hillsborough state park in Tampa Fla. counted 26 armadillos.

never grab one across the back. they snap backwards & plates pinch the hell out of your hand. been there, done that, OUCH!!

we are over run with those hole digging speed bumps in georgia too-saw one on the way home today, dead in the road with his feet sticking straight up in the air! they do carry leprosy but i think you have to eat the meat or get bitten by one-they are the only road kill a buzzard wont eat!
