brown trout fishing with worms

I went to go trout fishing with worms at one of my favourite trout streams but it was very high and dirty, so I ventured over to a really small creek where I have private property access where I knew the stream would be much smaller.
The downside to this spot is that I only have a limited area to fish as the property is not huge. The upside is that it is a truly beautiful place, and there are trout in the creek.

Cool stuff. I love drifting baits for trout, some truly lovely scenery and great environments. I laughed at the polypipe story, I can relate:-

My mother was standing near the dam one day looking at the polypipe between her feet, thinking it was a weird spot for Dad to have laid it, as it was on the opposite side of the dam to the house and pump. When the polypipe began to wriggle, she was kinda caught, not knowing which the head end was. To top it off, mum is the most ophidiophobic (fear of snakes) person I have ever met. Even a picture gets a reaction, and there she was straddling a black tiger the diameter of a polypipe. She was less than thrilled. HOWEVER, the snake showed no interest and just disappeared.

Another time I was riding across the wall on the back of one of the dams on the trailbike. My sister was on the back. I saw a length of polypipe that I thought "Weird, that was not there yesterday. I realised what it was just before I hit it, and called out to my sister SNAKE! She pulled her legs up as we hit it, the snake flipped and was dragged a short way, then dropped off and swam into the dam. There were fang marks dribbling venom in the seat where her thigh would have been! A nice big red belly black.

I managed two rainbow trout today Robbie, Creswick, Ballarat! 34 cm and a 28 cm. Stocked trout in the local lake but it was great to catch them.

Good work Robbie. Tried this myself on the Waikato river here in NZ recently and hooked into a decent rainbow. So you retrieve the worm? I was just letting the current bring it round. Would you recommend some reel action as well? Cheers mate
