I am currently unaffiliated anywhere but grew up in various denominations including some for my schooling. Catholic, Pentecostal, Baptist...I happened to type in Lutheranism into YouTube because of a Facebook quiz that stated because of my belief answers, I most likely am Lutheran. hahaha But, the reason I was unaffiliated is because of the beating up that can happen to us as believers when we make mistakes. it is almost like your accepted until you fall. This video was so encouraging to me. I have never heard anything that straight forward about forgiveness. It is said of course, but with ever present works and perfection in actions as the focus. I still believe faith without works is dead though. Thank you for the faith explanation about our sins...

I am Lutheran and yet, my denomination doesn't save me. Jesus alone and my faith in Christ alone has saved me. You can be any legitimate Christian in any legitimate Christian denomination and be saved just as long as you truly have given your life to Christ and have been redeemed by the blood of Christ. Nobody can earn salvation. It's a free gift of God through Christ Jesus. The Works part of working out your salvation as Paul mentioned in the gospels comes after you are saved. Salvation=faith=good works=Heaven. Simple as that

This is an incredible faith! Hi I'm Catholic and I really want to become a Lutheran. Videos like these have helped me out a lot in that decision! Everything you believe is what I THOUGHT Catholics believed (after 14 years of Catholic school), but it turns out we do not. Everything I disagree with in Catholicism is removed from Lutheranism, but it's such an understatement to say that Lutheranism is just 'free of Catholicism; you add so many other elements of your own into the faith!
If you don't have a video like this already, could you please make one on what makes Lutheranism different from Catholicism and why Catholics should join Lutheranism?

I'm not alone, I know of other disheartened Catholics that left and joined Protestantism and they'd really benefit from such a video! Thanks!

I was born into a Baptist family always attended the Baptist church. But recently have discovered my ancestors were of the Lutheran faith, my great-great grandfather was named Martin Luther Hitt and was one of the originial Germans in this country .

I agree with what you said. I don't really like church Denomination much, but I do believe that the actual "Church" is in different denominational groups scattered here and there. There is too much division in the church today due to titles. God knows. I pray we can have Unity in the church of Jesus and grow together in Jesus Name.

I grew up Non Denominational/ Baptist. The organization of Lutherans and Methodists seems very comforting.

I listened to this way back when my life was a mess. Looking back now I can see how God patiently brought me back to my baptism. After all the seeking and sin, he brought me back full circle to my family Lutheran Church. Moms and dads don't worry too much about your wayward children who have strayed from Christ's gifts. It took me 30 years by God's grace to come home again and find the peace and comfort of Christ's redeeming love. His goodness and mercy will pursue them all the days of their lives.
