How To Lock / Unlock Aadhar Card Biometric Online? How To Get Aadhar Virtual ID (VID) in Tamil

Aadhar card has become one of the most crucial documents that represent a person’s identity.

Such an important document can be misused too if it gets into the hands of persons with bad intention. In such a case, you can lock your Aadhar card to prevent its misuse.

When you lock your Aadhar, authentication cannot be done via your Aadhaar card and hence misusing the same can be prevented.

This can be useful not only in the cases of theft, but also when you particularly don’t want any Aadhar authentication to go through for a period of time, irrespective of whether your card is lost or not.

Hi Mam useful info
I locked in line with your video but not able to unlock.
1. when tryign to get RVID xxxx gives technical exception
2.when trying to use old rvid it shows expired.
3. help desk and help @uidai were not giving proper info

I tried in the mobile app and also in my Addhar it is showing Addhar locked by addhar number holder. this means that all permanent forms of identifiers are locked for any kind of authentication. resident can still use VID. and its showing something went wrong . please try again after some time. almost I tried for one week same thing is showing what to do now to unlock
