You are a life saver! Same scenario as others here, locked self out of brand new luggage. I went ahead and purchased a tsa007 key (others may vary) as a fail safe when I travel as I have read these locks can jam while traveling, even with correct code.

Thank you! This principal worked for me on Constellation suitcase. Instead of a notch it had a flat part, whereas the rest of the numbers were cylindrical. I was directly under a light and viewed the area with my phone zoomed right in. Brilliant, thanks again.

Then I rolled them three pretty much to the opposite side (5 additional numbers on each ring) so the indents were all aligned on the other side. And it miraculously opened. :-) thanks again so much!

This actually works on the TSA007 that has the dials on the side as well. It's not as easy to see the notches as they are in the plastic. Line all the notches up facing straight out on each dial, then turn each dial one position and try to unlock. If it doesn't unlock, keep turning all dials one position until it unlocks. We had all our ports in the cupboard for several years and had no idea what the code was. Did this and it unlocked. It wasn't until we unlocked it and saw the code, we said of course that would be it 😀

Thank you so much for this video! I used this technique to unlock the separate travel sentry lock on my suitcase that had actually just somehow shifted the third number of my known combo off by 2! Glad that I don't have to go out to buy some tool to clip off the lock! Thank you!!
