Look at that G meter. The initial pitch up caused 5G instantly!
In a glider. Wow!

In my opinion it’s not a flat spin but a vertical down flick roll with a subsequent spin. The aircraft is a Swift, full aerobatic glider. 5 g is not an issue.

Even with half playback speed the spin entry looks violent.
I guess the flatspin intself feels like pretty smooth death trap.
Is there a limit how many turns you can do until it is no longer recoverable?

how....are your wings still attached?? Is this modern glider standards or is this like, an airframe that was optimized for high stress? I had a dream like this before and I'm pretty sure I died at the end.

Amazing, what's the name of the plane?

Curious to what sequence of inputs you used to get into the flat spin and out again, including rudder. Seems unconventional to me.

Not a flat spin! A flat spin is horizontal with no airflow over the rudder so little hope of recovery. Thumbs down for a misleading title.

How much altitude was lost from when the spin was initiated to recovery?

It’s not a flat spin; in fact in a flat spin the aircraft nose isn’t vertical to the ground like in the video clip.

Did You use the air brakes to dissipate the energy of the flat spin quicker? I assume this was unintentional due to a over energetic flick... Weird sound when the flat spin slows down.

step 1: Throttle to 0.
step 2: Rudder against the spin direction
step 3: Nose down
step 4: Pray

That isn’t a flat spin… it’s a steep spin and you can’t recover from a flat spin unless you have immense engine power like a fighter jet…
