These are definitely badass. So are Phantoms. The best looking flyby aircraft of all time, in my opinion, was the F-14 Tomcat with full wing sweep and full reheat. After the F-14, I'd say the B-1 and then the F-111. Swept wings just look better than anything else.

I think not much is louder than that F-15...except for the time I was down-wind of a B-1B taking off w/ full afterburners from the Boeing facility at Long Beach Airport. Every year they have a company party there, and the highlight is the annual B-1B taking off for thrills of their employees. My chest was vibrating so hard, I thought my heart was gonna burst.

The man who designed the F-15 had a gift and created not one but 2 masterpieces, the military liked the F-15 so much they asked him to build a multirole single engined companion and he designed the F-16. Not even the F-22 has a combat record close to either of these old planes.
