Just to hear Desi talking about Postpartum after being pregnant, she’s come such a long way and I’m so happy to see a little mini Perkins 😇

I actually don’t care if this whole channel doesn’t even mention makeup anymore. I love watching you and Steven and baby O❤️ And of course the doggies. I love the stories the story times and all of that. Don’t rush back into makeup girl don’t even worry about it. How about a story of all of this from Steven’s point of view? How is Steven doing?

Girl this was the most REAL postpartum video I’ve ever seen, I mean that in the best way. So many moms will need this, you’re being that person who is breaking the barrier and letting women know what they need postpartum but also letting them know so so many moms go through hardships right after a baby comes. It’s the most amazing time but at the same time a mix of emotions with ups and downs. I’ve been super honest with friends and give them lists on what to get etc. Anyway I just want to say we love you desi! Big hugs! You and Steven are doing amazing!

I’m so glad that Steven advocated for you. I’m also a nurse, and I’m very familiar with nurse Ratchet’s like that. Not only do they make their patient’s life difficult, they also make their coworkers lives difficult. Any whooo... I’m super happy for you guys. ♥️

As an expecting father, this was super helpful. It has provided me with some different things to look out for with my fiancee. In addition, it gave me a bunch of helpful items to add to the baby registry for her. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I had horrific postpartum to the point I almost committed suicide. Thank God I have the best husband. No one tells you how hard your first child is to adjust to. I always tell people how wonderful it is to be a mom, but it is also the hardest thing.

Would Steven ever film a video of his side of the postpartum experience? I know you touched on somethings that he does to support you. My partner and I have been watching your parental journey and he often wonders about dad tips. Love you guys and congratulations again!!

I’m always amazed at how much hate there is for mothers. Breastfeeding? Great. Formula? Great! C-section? Awesome. Vaginal birth? Cool! Women are already subjected to so much hate and negativity, if you do your best every day for your kids, that’s what matters. Happy for you and your growing family! ♥️ thanks for sharing your story.

Society is so pressed on women “snatching back” post partum. Not all of us have that bounce back ability. We have to as a society accept women where they are and not pressure us to becoming that perfect magazine mom everyone is so obsessed with.
Own your transition and let women ride the waves of coming into motherhood! No postpartum experience is linear.

I am literally so happy that someone is talking about everything! Because a lot of women make giving birth like the most amazing glorious thing in the world, and let me tell you it is not! There is a lot that goes on and a lot to learn and know that no one talks about! I am so happy you are explaining everything to the tea!

I actually never wanted to leave a comment because I figured “they aren’t going to read it or care” but I had my twins on the same day you had Ocean so we were pregnant at the same time. I also had a hard time breastfeeding and my babies also lost weight. It was such a break down for me, but knowing that you went through the same thing makes me feel a lot better. This is also my first pregnancy so we are in this together. Your videos have definitely helped me as I am a first time mom as well. I remember on your fertility journey the IVF DR asking you how many eggs you wanted to be implanted and you said having two the first time around is going to be hard....well let me tell you it was a good choice. Having twins is hard. So glad you have all the help you need. Stay strong mommy.

That’s so rude that the nurse rolled her eyes at you and said “it’s normal” when you were SHAKING like that and so scared, like it might be obvious to HER, cause she sees it all the time, but obviously YOU don’t see that all the time, it’s your first time giving birth or seeing someone give birth!

I can't stress enough how important it is to have a labor nurse who you vibe with honestly. My labor nurses were incredible.

Take all of the “free” things the hospital provides for you. Once its been taken out of its original shipping packaging and placed in your room its deemed a biohazard. They just throw it all away opened or unopened.

As a FTM, this hit hard for me. The story about the nurse, the breastfeeding struggle and just mourning the life pre-baby was all relatable. Now at almost 5 months post partum, I feel much better about myself.. And now I cant even picture life without my baby.

Also, to any new moms watching, FED IS BEST. Period. If anyone tells you different, they’re wrong. I promise you when they go to college, they don’t ask your kids if they were breastfed or formula fed. Motherhood is hard enough, make it easier for yourself where you can ❤️
