I am surprised Klaper didn't mention the primary reason for lack of B12 in vegetables today - many are grown hydroponically, so never touch soil or the bacteria that make it. the evolution of many plant species has included the development of mutually beneficial
symbiotic relationships with soil-borne microorganisms. In these relationships, both the host plant and the
microorganism symbiont derive valuable resources that they need for their own productivity and survival as a
result of the association.

Also important to note that the majority of B12 supplements are used in the animal agriculture industries.
For example, nearly all dairy calves are given B12 in their formula.
Chickens are often supplemented vitamins and minerals, and that includes "organic" and "free range".
If the soil is depleted in cobalt then that is added to the feed.

So people are still supplementing B12, just getting it indirectly through the life of an animal.
Simply take the B12 supplement directly and don't support animal exploitation.
Live vegan.

Very helpful. Just a note we don’t/can’t drink out of just any stream today because a lot of water actually does have harmful bacteria. So don’t go out and drink from your stream lol! And as to tap water, remember other countries don’t follow the same sanitary practices with their water supply so when visiting, drinking filtered or bottled water is better than drinking “just any” tap water. I ended up in the hospital once because my aunt was refilling mineral water bottles with tap water. My relatives’ bodies were able to handle it because they grew up drinking it; mine unfortunately did not. Not promoting bottled water here though; just the safer alternative to tap water you’re not sure about. Just recently switched to drinking local glass bottled spring water for the minerals.

Yeast Extract is a great and ‘traditional’ way for Vegans to get B12, and has been my only source since I went Vegan 35 years ago. 🌎✊🏽

Hey Klaus thanks for the vid. Fortunately I live in Australia and our full blood tests are free. Having my 12 month this Wednesday after almost 1 year vegan and feeling great! Keep up the great work mate.

I’m confused, I understand that we took the bacteria that created b12 but now we are not. So if we know which bacteria, then can we take it? Like probiotic..
