Lance Taysom is caver and climber who won an award from the International Technical Rescue Symposium in 2017. Around 15 years prior, he led a group including his friend and their two boys on a caving trip to Crystal Ice Cave. The group expertly scouted their trip ahead of time, but despite all their planning and expertise, they found themselves trapped in a frozen cave deep below ground. This is the story of how his own son risked everything to find a way to save them all from the frozen grip of Crystal Ice Cave.
