The FINE-TUNING ARGUMENT is not necessarily about the size of the universe. Frank Turek is right in explaining to him, that it's about the gravitational force, the ratio of the protons & neutrons, etc, etc, etc. The questioner needs to learn more about this subject.

The size of the universe is irrelevant to the fine tuning argument. The argument fails for numerous reasons, but the size of the universe is not one of them.

The fine tuning argument will find fine tuning even in a universe that has not been fine tuned. It is a magic 8 ball that can only answer "YES".

Would it not be the best argument for fine tuning

I believe the fine tuning argument is the best philosophical argument proving the existence of a grand designer. In fact Christopher Hitchens the famous anti-theist also believed that it was the most difficult argument to get around. He stated it was the one that made him think the most. It is clear that we have a designer. All creation cries out the glory of the almighty God.

Great answer. Try to change any of the variables. You can't create yourself. There has to be an eternal limitless creator that has always existed. The mind of atheists is too small to comprehend the infinite.

I'm not sure how a massive universe means that God is less viable.

Although there very well could be living creatures of some sort out on distant planets, we need the reminder that God created humans, on THIS planet, in His image.
Whatever creatures God may, or may not, have created on other planets, is irrevelant to us, and our chance for life eternal in heaven. Those are God's secrets. His creation. He can do as he pleases.
It's understandable that athiests will dismiss my description of God doing all this, but it doesn't bother me. To each his/her own. No arguement from me.

Okay- so when it comes to the universe being fine tuned for life- wrong. Firstly, out of billions of galaxies each containing billions of planets- is it really that unlikely that at least one of those would have the necessary conditions for life? Not only that, but it is u who has been fined tuned for the universe- not the other way around. No supernatural shenanigans required for that either. Evolution via natural selection. And who says these are the only parameters that life could exist? If we found alien life- do u really think we would survive on their planet on them on ours? It’s not a miracle we find ourselves living in a universe we can live in- it would be a miracle if we found ourselves in one we can’t.

As for the fine tuning for the universe existing- similar problems. Who said these are the only parameters a universe could exist? If the universe had other rules, it may exist differently. Sort of like the chances of getting a royal flush. They’re astronomical. But the chances of any other combination of cards are exactly the same. Who says this is the only royal flush?

If not, perhaps the fine tuning could be down to a natural process- just like evolution via natural selection explained the fine tuning for life. And like life, the universe could also be fine tuned a lot better than it actually has been, for example- one that won’t experience heat death. It could be that the universes that can’t survive collapse in on themselves and the ones that can, well turn out like we have today. Or, it could be that these are the only parameters that exist! That it could not be any other way. This is what the universe just is. No how, why or what about it.

There are many different hypotheses or explanations. But the truth is- we don’t know. That doesn’t mean u get to plug in a god to fill that gap in our knowledge. It’s been shown to be wrong every single time before. What makes u think this time will be any different? It’s still not an argument for god- it’s an empty assertion which doesn’t actually explain anything. No actual evidence or experiments we can do actually linking a god to it. And what is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

This preacher obviously hasn't watched the holy koolaid channel, this guy will obliterate any notion that if everything was imperfect life wouldn't happen, life always would and could've happen regardless, there are so many things that we don't need that are still circling us now, I've seen one genius kid say the universe is falling and not expanding, the kid was top knotch for sure.

Atheists deny the fine tuning argument by creating ridiculous ideas like a multiverse. In some universe the constants are rightly tuned for life, and this is the one. LOL

The universe is not fine tuned for human life. If your body could be zapped to any random point in the universe chances are you won't survive.

Why doesn’t the bible describe the universe, the solar system or even our own earth in detail?
A. Because ancient men made it up.
