To be fair, we’ve been waiting for the iPhone 9 for seven years now.

Just Apple?? Every phone manufacturer needs to stop this yearly cash grab.

I think everyone need to slow down on hardware and work on the software.

Steve Jobs would have never approve releasing an unfinished iPhone 16 to the public. Having people waiting several months for AI feature.

They can't even bring their services, such as Apple Cash, Apple Map Navigation, Visual Look Up, and more to the worldwide

I mean let’s review the facts, the average iPhone user keeps their phone for about 4-5 years, if you’re due for an upgrade you’re not going to want a phone that’s been around for a year only for the next one to roll out the following year. We’ve seen what happened with the AWU3 not being released, a lot of people just said they’ll wait til Apple Watch 3 came out to upgrade. Very few people upgrade yearly.

Apple needs to invest more in the software. The hardware is great and the differences between phones each year is becoming virtually non-existent. I'd rather see Apple perfect the software and do more to maximize the hardware that we already have.

I love the part where she mentioned "stuck in a loop" and literally that Cupertino loop appeared before my very eyes! Well done!

Great video but I completely disagree. I don’t believe consumers believed the annual showcases of automobiles, televisions or vacuum cleaners were for the people who purchased the LAST YEAR’S MODEL. Especially in high volume and highly competitive markets. Niche products can upgrade more slowly. Manufacturers also know the average refresh cycle for their products. The latest arrivals are there to temp the people with OLDER, potentially outdated and less capable versions. Every year SOMEONE will need to upgrade. It’s hard to get people to buy your product if it hasn’t changed in 3 years when another manufacturer makes small improvements year over year. YouTube channels presented quick, easy content comparing the latest model against the one they typically had on hand. It was fast, brainless content a channel could upload the second they had the newest version in hand.

I agree with breaking the annual iPhone cycle. Current iPhone models have great processing power, they can handle multiple years of iOS updates and receive great features, customer updates their iPhone and feel like they just got a brand new iPhone without spending hundreds of dollars.

Would be an enormous mistake on Apple's part, other companies like Samsung would jump all over that to tout better phone hardware. There's nothing wrong with yearly phone upgrades, no one is being forced to upgrade every year.

Who told these YouTubers that they NEEDED to upgrade from the 15 to 16? Victim mentality for getting caught up in their own overconsumption

Without the AI integration there's no point

I admire how a journalist and MarTech expert can present her case with such clarity and a unique perspective that tech enthusiasts rarely consider. Her approach is calm, insightful, and refreshingly independent—you can tell she doesn’t just follow the herd. There’s no need for her/us to.
Marques and all are great, but for me, THIS is a journalistic approach

The thermal envalope is the one and only reason I got the 16 pro max. I had the 15 pro max and it was warming up too much. But now the 16 pro max is amazing, no heat! It could be due to the use of graphene under the chip, or the metal casing around the battery (which all used to be plastic).

It is perfectly acceptable to launch a new version once a year. Users have the option to decide whether they want to upgrade annually or stick with their current version.
