Every time when I use the other substitution for homogeneous (x=vy), I get a very different result than the other substitution when is solvable

I scratched out my process once, since erasing is worse for scanning the test and my professor thought I left it in blanket. Without noticing that in that page I wrote "redone in another page" I lost a tone of points for being sloppy. TRY to keep meth clean.
